The Role

We are seeking an Experienced Engineer with a construction background to join our Urban Development team in Brisbane. The successful candidates will focus on construction phase services including site supervision, project management, contract administration, quality management and coordinating our client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise, particularly with engineering and construction methods, materials, equipment, and techniques
  • Pre-empt and resolve on-site construction problems
  • Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and understanding of their drivers
  • Strong growth mindset and ability to train and mentor junior staff
  • Monitor construction progress against program
  • Approve payment of contractor’s progress claims and contract variations up to specified limits
  • Ensure the proper and accurate two-way flow of information in relation to allocated projects
  • Comply with the requirements described in the respective roles and responsibilities
  • Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years’ Construction Engineering experience
  • Urban, land development, roads and/or municipal project experience
  • Must have a strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Australian Drivers licence and white card
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary design development and authority applications and approvals will be highly regarded.
