Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Factory Electrical Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

About the Position:

Based in Brisbane, you will be part of dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and oversee construction activities based on signalling and functional documentation, including 'set to work' supervision.

  • Manage the Electrical team and subcontractors for ETCS L2 project delivery and coordinate all electrical factory activities according to the project plan.

  • Optimize project resources, both internal and external, to meet milestones and deliverables.

  • Collaborate with the HSE team to define site safety requirements and implement HSE initiatives in compliance with regulations.

  • Ensure HSE compliance, defining site safety requirements, and implementing initiatives.

  • Provide regular progress reports on construction activities and resource performance evaluations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.

  • 5+ years in Railway signalling.

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.

  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.

  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.

  • Resourceful, resilient, and professional.
