About the Venture

This climate-focused venture is experiencing substantial growth, transforming from a specialised team into a rapidly expanding organisation. As the Head of People, you will be instrumental in establishing a high-performing People and Talent function working in close collaboration with the founders. 


About the Role: 

  • Develop and implement an effective recruiting funnel to quickly identify and place top talent, scaling the team from 40 to over 200 employees.
  • Design and establish scalable HR systems for performance reviews, talent development, and employee engagement, ensuring best HR practices at all times.
  • Foster a strong, growth-oriented culture grounded in core values, supporting resilience during rapid expansion.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and analytics to assess hire effectiveness in achieving revenue and growth targets, quickly identifying alignment with team OKRs.
  • Create strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and long-term career development within the organisation.
  • Develop fair, competitive, and transparent compensation structures that support sustainable company growth.


About You

  • Demonstrated experience in building People functions from scratch and implementing scalable structures and processes, particularly in recruiting, performance management, and talent development.
  • A data-driven mindset with a track record of making People decisions based on quantitative metrics. Experienced in aligning HR KPIs with team and revenue goals.
  • A background in scaling teams in a high-growth environment, ideally from around 40 to 200+ employees.
  • Skilled in managing large candidate pipelines efficiently, identifying top talent for key roles.
  • Ability to develop HR processes and systems that support scalability and company growth.
  • Comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels as required.
  • Enthusiasm for developing people and building an organisation that maximises employee potential through career pathways and learning & development initiatives
  • Ability to communicate openly, clearly, and respectfully in both interpersonal settings and strategic messaging across the organisation.
  • Skilled in recognising and resolving conflicts constructively, guiding teams through change, and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with team members and leaders through transparent and fair actions.
  • Capable of inspiring, motivating, and fostering a culture of growth and development.
