Most importantly, you're passionate about using your skills to create sustainable solutions for the fashion industry's environmental challenges.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><p>As our Firmware Engineer, your core responsibility will be developing and maintaining the software that powers our Vega™ weaving system. You will work across multiple teams to ensure our revolutionary 3D weaving technology operates reliably and efficiently. Your key responsibilities include:</p><ul> <li>Developing and maintaining embedded software for industrial device control and communication</li> <li>Creating and executing comprehensive test plans</li> <li>Designing and maintaining telemetry and monitoring systems for deployed Vega™ machines</li> <li>Developing Linux-based applications for seamless communication between our pattern creation software (Oppy) and machine control systems</li> <li>Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful deployment and operation</li> </ul><h3>Ideal Qualities</h3><ul> <li>2-3 years of experience in embedded software development</li> <li>Strong experience developing firmware features for microcontrollers in embedded real-time systems</li> <li>Strong software engineering fundamentals including proficiency in C++ or similar modern programming languages, object-oriented programming, templating, multi-threaded programming, and memory management</li> <li>Experience with FreeRTOS or similar real-time operating systems</li> <li>BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field</li> </ul><h3>Bonus Points</h3><ul> <li>Experience transitioning systems from R&amp;D to production environments</li> <li>Experience with electro-mechanical systems</li> <li>Background in developing automated tests, test infrastructure, and debugging embedded systems</li> <li>Previous work with production deployment and monitoring systems</li> <li>Experience with Linux application development</li> <li>Familiarity with robotics or industrial automation systems</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>We don't expect you to have all of the listed qualities.
