Thomas Thor is seeking a Market and Business Development Manager to join our international team. In this pivotal role, you will identify and create opportunities to embed contractors within client organisations, fostering long-term relationships that are foundational to our business.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office on the beautiful Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, 2 days from home). Join us in shaping the future of the carbon-free energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the European nuclear sector for embedded contractors, aligning Thomas Thor's capabilities with client needs and opportunities.
  • Engage in hands-on business development with key decision-makers through meetings and calls, including line managers, directors, and HR stakeholders.
  • Execute strategies such as sales calls, video meetings, and attendance at industry events to drive business growth.
  • Identify and create high-value opportunities, positioning Thomas Thor as a trusted partner for major projects.
  • Build and nurture high-trust relationships with decision-makers, taking responsibility for successful delivery and accountability for outcomes.



Essential Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • You will have proven experience in business and market development within staff augmentation, contract recruitment, or a similarly complex, regulated sector, ideally within nuclear.
  • You must possess a proactive and opportunistic mindset, demonstrating a proven ability to convert needs into successful outcomes.
  • You will demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, with a passion for client satisfaction and the ability to navigate complex decision-making processes.
  • You must be competent with CRM systems and social media platforms, alongside having strong numerical acumen and attention to detail.
  • You will be willing to travel across Europe as required (approximately 20% travel) and be fluent in English.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • You will have a robust existing network within the European nuclear sector.
  • You must demonstrate ambition to build and lead a team, with previous experience in team management.
  • You will possess language skills in target geographies (e.g., Polish, Czech, Romanian, Finnish, Swedish, Dutch), which would be an advantage.
