Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to be based in Orange or Los Angeles, California.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead traffic engineering projects throughout California
- Plan approvals through LADOT and Caltrans
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to discuss projects with co-workers, clients, regulatory agency staff, AECOM staff, and the public in meetings and at public events as well as write concise and readable technical reports and documents
- Supporting a wide range of traffic engineering projects for roadway, freeway, transit systems, managed lanes, bicycle and pedestrian facilities
- Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, and demonstrate effective time management skills
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, analysis, value engineering, writing technical specification and project cost estimate
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered, apply innovative design solution, implementing current technology to meet project design needs
- Provides guidance, mentor and coach to entry level/junior engineers, or technicians, to learn and improve their technical skills
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and preferable Project)Skilled in MicroStation and AutoCAD software
- Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, demonstrate effective time management skills, and consistently deliver high quality deliverables
