We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our fast-growing renewable energy company. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data-driven insights that will drive informed business decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize our solar energy solutions. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting will play a pivotal role in supporting various departments and contributing to the overall success of ION Solar.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various internal and external sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data to support reliable analysis.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical methods and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations within the data to derive actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and formulate data-driven solutions.
  • Create clear and compelling visualizations, dashboards, and reports to present insights to stakeholders and management.
  • Develop automated reporting systems to provide real-time data insights for ongoing performance tracking.
  • Build predictive models to forecast solar energy demand, customer behavior, and other key business metrics.
  • Continuously refine and validate models to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of various business initiatives and strategies.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify areas for improvement and efficiency optimization.
  • Assist management in making data-driven decisions by providing insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of new strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Implement data governance practices to maintain data quality and security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role, preferably in renewable energy or related industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create insightful reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.


Working Conditions:

  • The role involves a fast-paced, open-floor office environment with significant computer and phone usage.
  • Utilization of complex systems and tools is required, demanding speed and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are typical.
  • Regular talking and hearing are necessary, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, or lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • The work environment's noise level is typical of an office, and interruptions may occur throughout the workday.
