This role is responsible to drive unified sales operations processes, actions and priorities across the US, Canada and Mexico to ensure the sales process is scalable, straightforward and as efficient as possible for our entire marketing and sales (M&S) community (Front End Sales (FES) and Business Units (BU)). It is also responsible for driving the delivery of best-in-class customer service across the M&S community during the commercial process and execution phase, working in close collaboration with the Business Units. Finally, this role will work in close collaboration with the Executive Vice President, Head of North America, on strategic projects to ensure the success of the organization in the short and long-term.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a regional team accountable for driving governance of processes and sales planning (forecasting tools and analytics).
  • Use market research to create annual sales plans.
  • Ultimately, provide best in class level of service to the countries Lead Sales Managers (LSM) and their Regional Vice-President (RVP) to allow them to perform at their best.
  • Implement and operationalize the end-to-end M&S processes to enable the team to deliver order, market share and revenue and. These processes include target setting, account planning and pipeline
  • , Drive best in class level of service to the customers by driving the FES and BU performances, continuous improvement initiatives, and measuring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Support workforce readiness within the M&S organization aligned with organizational goals for future growth. Liaise with Sales Operations stakeholders to update, communicate and train on processes and tools knowledge in the region. Ensure adherence and drive a process discipline culture in the region.
  • Execute the mid term growth plan and be the voice of the region to support strategic initiatives.
  • Capture and document business demand addressing areas of improvement or gaps in ways of working, processes, tools single master data, etc.
  • Monitor data quality and follow up consistency and accuracy of M&S dashboards. Drive discipline and consistency with tools. Proactively drive and recommend improvements. Provide analytical support to turn data into action. Proactively provide insights, tactical and strategic recommendations to the key region stakeholders.
  • Partner with NAM Business Units and the finance organization on forecasting and align pipeline opportunities to demand order commitments.
  • Enable the Hitachi Energy M&S community in the region to increase productivity and customer-facing time to efficiently deliver both top- and bottom-line growth.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive best in class level of service to the customers by driving the BU performances, continuous improvement initiatives and measuring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Proactively provide customer feedback to the team and integrate that feedback into strategic decision making, fostering a culture of responsiveness and innovations that drives customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Strategic initiatives:

  • Work in close collaboration with the Region Head, Front End Sales, functions and Business Units on strategic initiatives to ensure the short-term and long-term success of the company in North America, Take the lead for driving initiatives down through the organization.
  • Work to optimize efficiency and drive growth leveraging data analysis and market insights to enhance sales processes and support the execution of the business objectives.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years applicable experience including several years in sales operations responsible for sales process and data analysis, in continuous improvement, and in sale.
  • Minimum of 10 years leading large teams as well as proven ability to drive collaboration across diverse teams not directly within reporting structure.
  • Strategic mindset that is insightful yet tactical, rigorous and dedicated to team success, solutions oriented thinker that is innovative
  •  Experience with Salesforce (CRM) and data analysis tools
  • Strong organizational, planning and communication skills including senior management communication.
  • Passion to provide high level of customer service
  • Good knowledge of Marketing and Sales business processes and tools.
  • Good understanding of Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of our Transmission & Distribution market is an advantage.
