About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our afternoon shift team of experienced trades people and apprentices. This is a rewarding opportunity with excellent working conditions where all tools are provided. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our plant and equipment, attending to breakdowns and actioning work requests.

  • Experience in a maintenance role, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and knowledge or experience with injection moulding equipment.
  • Undertake repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management systems, preferably MEX.
  • Ensure urgent issues are communicated to the Engineering Services Supervisor.
  • Report all potential hazards and incidents using our systems.
  • Fast learner, someone who is flexible, adaptable and a strong team player with excellent time management skills.

About you 

  • Hold a trade qualification in Fitting, with demonstrated experience in a maintenance role.
  • Post-trade certificate and experience in hydraulics & pneumatics.
  • Demonstrated experience in CMMS (preferably MEX).
  • Thorough knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems.
  • Significant knowledge of Injection Moulding Equipment and associated equipment.
  • Sound decision making and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, adaptable and customer focussed.
