The Civil Engineer we are looking for is highly skilled with a strong background in bulk water or wastewater infrastructure projects having worked in informal areas and highly structured site environments. You bring your expertise in civil engineering to the table, with extensive experience in site development, structural design, and managing infrastructure projects from conception to completion. Your knowledge of the entire project lifecycle will allow you to seamlessly transform blueprints into realities.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of major civil engineering projects. Troubleshooting issues, assessing risks, and delivering innovative and practical solutions. You have a sound understanding and working knowledge of the BIM process, civil engineering analysis software, and the ability to apply your advanced skills with 3D engineering modelling software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and analyze water and wastewater infrastructure systems: Lead the design of pump stations, pipelines, and treatment facilities using advanced engineering techniques
  • Create 3D models, technical drawings, and detailed designs: Contribute to the development and visualisation of infrastructure systems through accurate technical documentation
  • Prepare specifications, BoQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation: Ensure accurate cost assessments and detailed specifications for the water project
  • Produce key project deliverables: Generate technical reports, procurement documents, and specifications to meet project requirements
  • Manage and support the delivery of water projects: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of projects while managing constraints and deadlines
  • Apply advanced civil engineering software: Use specialised software for civil engineering analysis and 3D modelling to enhance project efficiency
  • Utilise BIM processes: Implement Building Information Modeling techniques to optimise project planning and execution
  • Demonstrate strong self-management skills: Focus on meeting deadlines, paying attention to detail, and consistently delivering high-quality result
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines and geographies: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to support global project success
  • Display excellent communication skills: Interact confidently and professionally with personnel at all levels within the organization
  • Manage time efficiently and demonstrate excellent organizational skills: Plan, implement, and track project progress with precision to ensure timely completion
