About your role: 
 

Part of the Smart team the Metering Reporting Analyst will be vital to enabling the success of key metering objectives. The successful candidate will provide critical insight, operate & develop processes which will provide assurance of delivery against metering obligations and targets through best practice data management, portfolio & reporting governance standards. You will have a can-do attitude, ability to work autonomously, under pressure and challenging deadlines as priorities can change quickly whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

You will also have a strong analytical capability and mindset with an ability to interpret results and trends and ability to present the information in an understandable manner.  

The key accountabilities involve developing and operating reports to monitor Smart meter rollout performance, identifying and flagging operational risks, and supporting Smart installation strategies through data modeling.

Responsibilities include validating metering data, managing workflow processes, and creating regulatory reports. The role also involves reviewing and updating existing systems, supporting the transition to new data tools, and producing detailed presentations for management. Additionally, maintaining and improving the metering dashboard and providing analytical support to the wider team are crucial tasks.

Here's what we’re looking for: 

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in software packages and languages like MS Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, Python, R Studio, Power BI, Data Bricks, and MS PowerPoint, with the ability to write bespoke code and perform data mining, extraction, transformation, and presentation.
  • Analytical Skills: In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies, data analysis techniques, and experience in building business cases, making decisions, and justifying recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communication across all levels, relationship building, and the ability to identify the right level of detail for different audiences.
  • Operational and Commercial Acumen: Experience in an operational environment, understanding key performance indicators, risk management, and a focus on continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
