About the role

The changing climate will present unprecedented risks and shifts in business models as companies adapt to meet the needs of climate-impacted consumers and markets. Whether advising on strategies that respond to the decarbonising economy, or building resilience in the face of warming and more volatile weather, ERM Energetics seeks Managing Consultants who are energised to help businesses address the climate challenge.

You will manage client relationships. As a project manager you are a trusted advisor responsible for delivering client work, co-ordinating project team members, and managing the project budget.

Our services

ERM Energetics has unparalleled experience working with large ASX-listed businesses to assess the impacts of climate change, including physical and transition risks, and identifying opportunities to enhance adaptation capacity.

Climate risk and resilience strategy development: Risk and vulnerability assessments including modelling asset-specific and supply chain risks using proprietary models, scenario analysis, and financial quantification - informing the development of strategies for resilience. Our team has experts across finance, climate science, economics, agricultural science, policy and governance. ERM Energetics is a strategic partner in the CSIRO’s national Climate Resilient Enterprise Mission.

Climate disclosures and transition planning: Mandatory disclosure support, including gap analysis and compliance roadmaps, target setting (eg SBTi) and transition strategy development. Whether scenario development, stakeholder consultation or opportunity modelling, we prioritise credibility in our analytical approaches, ensuring strategies are based on robust, transparent and auditable data.

Navigating carbon markets: Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) price forecasting, offset strategy development, project due diligence, market engagement and transaction support, leveraging ERM Energetics' Australian Financial Services License (AFSL).

Undertaking due diligence: Assessing potential physical and transition risks for investors and corporates on major investment decisions, including acquisitions of new businesses and investment in major infrastructure.
