The Procurement Manager will oversee all procurement activities related to the Project with especial focus on architectural, fit-out, earthworks, roads and utilities packages. Working within the Commercial Department, the Procurement manager will ensure that the acquisition of materials, equipment, and services is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with Project requirements.

This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and company objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers that meet project requirements and company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Review and approve contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks and protect company interests.
  • Conduct cost analyses and negotiate pricing to ensure procurement activities are cost-effective and within budget.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and identify opportunities for procurement process improvements.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Prepare and maintain a Procurement Schedule
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and cost savings to senior management.
  • Identify, report and manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and vendor performance issues.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Construction field, and/or corresponding professional membership.
  • Proven experience of at least 8 years in the Construction Industry (including civil international projects)
  • Proven experience in managing procurement for civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and vendor relations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English Language
