Role Overview:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Fastmarkets, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, nurturing, and converting new business opportunities.
Your primary responsibilities will include generating and qualifying leads, building relationships with potential clients, and working closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the continued growth of our customer base. The role of Business Development Representative is a crucial role to the acceleration of the Fastmarkets growth, the right candidate will be experienced in delivering significant growth through new business opportunity generation. They will be prepared to work purely through outbound prospecting without relying on an account book to generate opportunity within their territory. Experience within the PRA or commodities markets would be welcomed.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industries.
- Generate high-quality leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media.
- Qualify leads to assess their fit with our products or services.
- Outreach to prospects via high volume of emails, phone calls, and over social media channels such as Linkedin.
- Engage with prospective customers to understand their needs and challenges.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services.
- Work closely with the sales team to create choreographed account and territory outreach plans.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings or product demonstrations for the sales team with potential clients.
- Develop and improve sales skills through training and shadowing AE’s.
- Log and record detailed notes and follow ups in our CRM (Salesforce)
- Set and attain daily, weekly, and monthly pipeline metrics.
- Provide regular reports on lead generation and conversion metrics.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach strategies with market dynamics.
