Job Summary
The Solutions Implementation Manager delivers the Company Gridstream Distribution Automation (DA) and Smart Communities Streetlighting solution to the Company’s customers using a structured deployment project lifecycle to ensure quality in our delivery. This role is the primary technical resource that collaborates with the client and L+G Project Management Organization throughout a deployment project. Performs Distribution Automation integration planning and implementation to meet customer requirements. Ensure DA solution meets customer technical specifications including system architecture, software integration, and hardware requirements. Troubleshoots DA solution reliability and performance problems and proposes remedy options. Provide functional and operational enhancement recommendations into the New Product Introduction (NPI) process based on client feedback. Direct and execute DA integration, testing, and optimization plans. Establish and monitor DA solution performance reporting, recognizing adverse trends and taking necessary preventative and corrective actions. Work closely with 3rd Party vendors to resolve complex issues relating to DA solution integration and integrated software applications. Investigate DA Solution failures and performance. Act as liaison between Customer Operations Center, corporate development resources, and local project team to resolve technical issues. Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for technical elements of the DA solution that are effective and repeatable. Direct and executes DA solution upgrades including Gateways, Sensors, Lighting, and Radio releases.
Key Responsibilities
• Acts as primary technical resource that collaborates with the client throughout a deployment project and partners with a customer to develop requirements and propose technical solutions
• Execute System Acceptance Testing (SAT) for new customer deployments
• Create relevant Distribution Automation use case scenarios and appropriate solutions to demonstrate how the GridStream system operates and supports improvements to the customer-facing test suite
• Lead the creation of standard operating procedures and solutions for technical elements of the system that are effective and repeatable
• Adhere to formal change control processes
• Develop subject matter expertise in Distribution Automation technology, from SCADA head-end software to the distribution field devices
• Support manufacturing resources in First Article Testing (FAT) and monitor FAT processes
• Proactively follow through on all technical issues worked to ensure items are addressed accurately and promptly
• Own test environments and test lab to support the deployment organization
• Support DA software solutions installation activities for new releases and provide post-implementation support.
• Test and support beta versions of DA software and identify gaps in technical documentation such as release notes
• Participate in response teams for root cause analysis of system problems identified in the deployment of company solutions
• Act as the liaison to the other business units within the Company, as needed, to resolve and follow through on issues/defects.
• Provide functional and operational enhancement recommendations for the New Product Introduction (NPI) process based on client feedback
• Directs & implements new firmware, Device Control Word (DCW), and software releases with customer programs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience with .NET framework and WebServices required.
• Experience with UNIX Sun Solaris required (vi, crontab, shell scripting, process monitoring, Perl) a plus.
• Experience with Oracle 10g required (SQL*Plus, PL/SQL)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server a plus
• Strong analytical skills: able to complete methodical root cause analysis and troubleshoot technical issues.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor of Science degree required. (Advanced degree desired).

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Utility operations experience is a plus
• Business Process consulting experience a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Pay is in the range of $81,400 - $126,800 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
