In this role, you will successfully manage the installation of projects across residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors. You have a deep understanding of solar PV systems and installation processes, coupled with the ability to resolve client issues effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Technical Support in Project Development: Provide technical insights during the development stages of solar installation projects. Assist with accurate quoting based on site specifications, product selection, and technical requirements
  • Project Preparation: Ensure the readiness of stock, equipment, and materials before project commencement. Oversee procurement processes and maintain precise stock records. Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team for timely material delivery
  • Project Management: Manage installation processes for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Collaborate with clients and subcontractors to meet project specifications. Track project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, including PPE usage and safety protocol adherence. Work with the Health and Safety Officer to maintain and update site safety files
  • Quality Control: Establish and uphold quality control measures across all projects. Conduct post-installation inspections and address workmanship issues or defects
  • Client Communication and Satisfaction: Serve as the primary contact for clients during installation projects, providing updates and addressing concerns. Handle client escalations or complaints promptly and effectively
  • Budget and Cost Management: Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and report financial performance. Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality standards
  • Technical Support Oversight: Supervise the technical support team responsible for client callouts, service calls, and troubleshooting. Ensure prompt responses to technical issues, prioritizing urgent matters. Monitor team performance and address escalated technical issues efficiently
  • Employee Management: Lead internal and external installation teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship and smooth operations. Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements. Oversee daily operations, including timekeeping, attendance, and task allocation. Conduct performance reviews and manage overtime and leave requests to maintain project continuity
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance team skills and adherence to industry standards. Keep abreast of solar technology advancements and ensure team training aligns with the latest trends
