AECOM is seeking a senior-level Construction Project Manager in our DC office. This position will provide staff support on governmental projects during any phase of design and/or construction whether it’s a new building, full modernization, or renovation.

Past experience managing both construction input during design phase, construction phase and closeout as part of an integrated Program/CM team to complete large government programs with budgets ranging from $25M to $100M and beyond project life cycle.

Construction Project Manager Job Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify the accordance to the specifications
  • Monitor and assess construction performance while recording construction activities to ensure compliance with construction documentation requirements
  • Manage inspection work in progress to assure that methods, materials, and equipment conform to approved standards
  • Manage project Document Control including review of Construction Inspectors' daily status reports and construction progress schedules. Additionally, ensure utilization of shop drawing submittals process and incorporation of RFI's; conduct review of contractor change orders and make recommendations for changes and ultimately, incorporate change orders into project record
  • Coordinate with the General Contractor and ensure Scheduling of all tests and inspections required by the Contract Documents or governmental authorities and arrange for the delivery of test and inspection reports to the OWNER and Architect
  • Review punch list submitted by others and verify that items on the punch list have been completed and corrected prior to recommending substantial completion to the Owner
  • Monitor construction work progress, process field construction documentation (RFI and submittal validation and logging), also provide engineering support and coordination of construction field activities with MEP and CSA inspectors
  • Coordinate with the general contractor on required meetings and attend all site-based meetings
  • Coordinate project documentation with Project Controls (cost and schedule) reviewers
  • Lead Change Management Process
  • Review, provide comments and fully approve Pay Applications
  • Review and document condition of any off-site stored materials including gathering all the necessary insurances and bill of sales for Owner supporting pay application review and approval on behalf of the Owner
  • Participate in Technical evaluations for A/E, GC and vendor selection
  • Feasibility & constructability reviews of design submittals
  • Obtaining all required District of Columbia project permits
  • CPM Project Schedule review and critical path enforcement and understand project scheduled activities
  • Shop drawing and construction submittal review
  • Cost tracking and manage the Project budget
  • Change Management including settlement and negotiation
  • Construction Closeout
  • Attend all site-based Stakeholder meetings
  • Onsite at project site daily
