THE ROLE
Join the Electric Revolution as our Lead Mechanic! As our Lead Mechanic, you'll be the driving force behind our bustling workshop. Lead a high-performance team of bike wizards, supercharge our repair efficiency, and deliver an unforgettable customer experience. This hands-on role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for electric vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Dream Team: Inspire and motivate a crew of talented mechanics to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve workshop goals.
- Rev Up the Workshop: Oversee all repair and maintenance operations, from diagnosing tricky issues to servicing our fleet of awesome electric vehicles.
- Keep Riders Rolling: Interact with our riders, providing clear and concise updates on their ride's status, costs, and when they can hit the road again.
- Optimise the Operation: Implement and maintain efficient workshop processes to maximize productivity and quality.
- Stock the Workshop: Manage workshop inventory to ensure we have everything we need to keep our fleet running smoothly.
- Safety First: Ensure a safe and compliant workshop environment for everyone.
- Power Up the Data: Utilise advanced systems to generate insightful reports and analyze workshop performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar management position within the automotive or bicycle repair industry, with a strong focus on electric vehicles, particularly e-bikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes.
- High technical knowledge of bicycle and motorbike vehicle components, systems, and repair procedures, preferably with e-bikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes.
- A talent for coaching and developing team members.
- Able to lead by example and cultivate a great team culture.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in advanced office software and fleet management systems.
- A passion for electric vehicles, especially e-bikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
