About the Job
"Be the catalyst that drives real change for our planet."
Samsara Eco has one clear mission: to repair our planet through infinite plastic recycling. Yes, it’s a mighty mission but it’s something every single one of us here at Samsara Eco is determined to achieve. And it’s what motivates us to dedicate our time and energy to every single day.
Our technology is like our team. One of a kind. And we know that, so while we are creating technology to repair our planet, we’re also building a great place to grow careers. A place where everyone can do the best work of their life, making meaningful impact on our planet and ourselves.
Who we are...
We’re a climate tech innovator repairing our planet through infinite recycling. We’re taking the 10 billion tonnes of plastics and textiles wasting away in landfill and our environment, and recycling it, infinitely to create a truly circular loop for packaging, clothing, airbags and everything in between.
It means brands can make the products we all know and love without the environmental damage. Because by using what we already have, we can end the world’s reliance on dirty fossil fuels to slow climate change and ensure we have a livable planet for future generations.
The Role...
Are you a proactive finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing, innovative business? We’re seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited to support our CFO in ensuring the seamless operation of our finance function.
As our Senior Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, combining hands-on bookkeeping with strategic support. You’ll be instrumental in enhancing our financial systems and ensuring compliance as we scale.

- Leading month-end processes, including reconciliations and closures.
- Preparing management reports and ensuring tax compliance.
- Supporting year-end financial adjustments and contributing to audit reviews.
- Establishing and maintaining accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
- Handling record-keeping and reporting for government grant receipts.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including payroll support.
- Mentoring and leading the Accounts Payable Assistant.
What Sets You Apart...
You’re a detail-oriented professional with a knack for problem-solving. Your combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills enables you to deliver outstanding financial insights while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Your Key Attributes...
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Highly organized and able to navigate an ever-changing landscape.
- Strong financial and administrative skills with a focus on timely delivery.
- Exceptional analytical and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Xero (advantageous).
- Experience with payroll and start-up environments (a plus).
- Project administration skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Your Background...
- Degree qualified in Commerce/Accounting.
- CA or CPA certified (or working towards, with relevant experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in a finance role within an SME or corporate.
- Proven track record of completing month-end accounting duties.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian business needs, including ATO, IFRS, and accounting platforms.
Why You’ll Love It Here...
- Be part of a small, fast-growing company where your contributions make a visible impact.
- Take ownership of your work while collaborating with an energetic, forward-thinking team.
- Grow with us as we build robust financial systems to support our ambitious vision.
Why Work with us...
