Location: This position will be located and responsible for sales territory in California. The selected applicant will need to be geographically located in this area of the country and will work remotely to develop and execute sales strategies in applicable market locations.

Position Overview: The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase revenue, expand market share, and develop new markets and accounts within the assigned region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar inverters and/or energy storage, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, accounts, and partnerships.
  • Focus on continuing to develop the channel business, opening new distributors and creating demand from solar installers to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare quotations, price offers, and negotiate business deals and sales orders to maximize profitability and close deals effectively.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships while continuously prospecting for new clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential growth areas within the region.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to solar inverters and energy storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Represent Bloom Power at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the brand and generate leads.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing tailored solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the energy storage and solar inverter markets.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the solar inverters and/or energy storage industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and expanding market share.
  • Strong knowledge of the North American solar inverters and energy storage markets, with a focus on the California market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region, offering the opportunity to explore new places and engage with diverse clients.
