Job Summary: As a Junior Consultant for Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change, you will play a key role in supporting our clients' sustainability initiatives. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement practical and deliverable decarbonization strategies, assess climate-related risks and opportunities, and guide clients through the transition to sustainable business practices.

About the role:

  • Support Strategic Development: Assist in crafting boardroom-level sustainability strategies that align with clients' decarbonization goals without compromising commercial objectives.
  • Carbon Strategy Integration: Help develop and integrate carbon mitigation strategies into clients' net zero plans, including advising on projects and initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct analysis on the impact of regulated and voluntary carbon markets on clients' business strategies and identify opportunities for market differentiation.
  • Technology Deployment: Support clients in evaluating, investing in, and deploying cutting-edge low-carbon technologies to decarbonize key sectors of the economy.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability needs, provide strategic advice, and ensure the successful implementation of sustainability initiatives.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct research on sustainability trends, policies, and technologies, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist clients in understanding and complying with evolving sustainability regulations and standards.

About you:

  • Masters degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as a working student or intern in sustainability consulting, environmental management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, CDP, CSRD, TCFD).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
