General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking for an Operations Manager for its Mount Pleasant, PA location.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to implement, support and sponsor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations across the Surge Arresters product line.
  • Accountable to ensure a safe work environment and continuous improvement in HSE processes and integrity performance.
  • Responsible to execute a customer-focused Operations strategy for the Surge Arresters product line.
  • Accountable for its relentless execution.
  • May provide support to Sales during customer visits to explain capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.
  • Owns and is accountable to deliver RELEX KPls in line with expectations.
  • Responsible for on-time/on-margin project execution and to deliver project EBIT and cash.
  • Accountable for the effective deployment of Quality strategy for the Surge Arresters product line.
  • Accountable for the development and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures, and of the overall customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable to define and deliver the annual budgets for CapEx and OpEx expenses.
  • Accountable to effectively balance installed capacity with customer-demand and workload.
  • Accountable to ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, policies, and procedures related to Operations/Project execution.
  • In alignment with the respective Group, Divisional, BU and Hub policies, responsible to introduce standards and guidelines, standardized processes, and KPls.
  • Accountable for operational risk management, validates and improves reliability and effectiveness of business operations.
  • Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to capacitors and filters operations, integrating lean manufacturing principles in production processes.
  • Supports and guides new product introduction (through Gate Model) an ensure smooth transition to Operations processes.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or a comparable field is required.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive responsibility regarding materials management or manufacturing operations, supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
