Join the power movement as a Logistics Lead - Second Shift

As a lead on the Material Movement team this employee is responsible for assisting the team in meeting company objectives through warehouse and materials movement. This role will be the primary escalation point for Shipping, Receiving and Material Movement requests and the subject matter expert for international shipments. 


What you'll do:

  • Obey and enforce all CFS Safety guidelines and policies in the warehouse; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors while maintaining a clean work environment
  • Lead team dock procedures, material movements, shipping and receiving
  • Monitor dock operations and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with management to allocate workforce resources to complete assignments and achieve deadlines
  • Train and certify new team members in standard work practices
  • Identify and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Identify and execute 5S improvements
  • Identify, document and quarantine and damaged products
  • Assist the safety team in training for Material Handling Equipment
  • Ensure compliance with CFS Hazardous Material storage plans
  • Ability to operate various Material Handling Equipment 

What we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 6+ years experience in Logistics and/or Material Handling 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in ERP functionality
  • Experience in a start-up or high growth environment
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Warehouse Operations
  • Strong computer skills with MS office or G-Suite applications (including Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Warehousing operational knowledge 
  • Customer service excellence 

Bonus points for:

  • Team Leadership experience

Must-have Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform activities such as stopping, typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
