As our global portfolio grows, we are looking for a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) package manager to join our WTG package team.
Your role:
As a WTG package manager, you will develop and build large-scale offshore wind farms in Europe and beyond. As part of a core project team, you will contribute to building financially strong business cases for offshore wind farms and helping to bring the projects to financial close. You will take the lead in managing the wind turbine package scope which consist of:
- Setting out with your peers the project development plan for a new offshore wind farm; identify and procure the required studies in early development phase (before the concession bid).
- Estimate cost components (capex and opex) of an early development wind farm and work closely with the tender team to define optimal wind farm concepts and win concessions.
- Building and maintaining a good and strong working relationship with the supply chain and acting as the formal commercial interface towards various tenderers and contractors
- Mapping out procurement strategies and organize the procurement for Turbine Supply and Turbine Maintenance Contracts.
- Coordinating and Leading contract negotiations with turbine suppliers and installation vessel suppliers for key contracts within the project.
- Identifying and overseeing the technical interfaces between the WTG package and other packages of the project.
Your profile:
- Master’s Degree and in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management of utility-scale projects. Experience in offshore wind energy is a plus.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and contractors.
- Quality and Safety mindset with knowledge of QHSSE legislation associated with construction projects.
- Fluent knowledge of English, written and spoken (other languages are a plus).
- Motivated team player, diligent and possess a high integrity.
- Pro-active and problem-solving attitude who combines theory with practice.
- Proven ability to manage your own workload and meet demanding timelines.
- Willing to travel regularly in Europe and beyond.
