Job Description:
Under the direction of the EMT Superintendent, the Electrical Mechanical Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical mechanical, and instrumentation equipment for the Stockton, TAFB, Dixon and Livermore districts. This position is located in Stockton, California.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic control systems
Repair low voltage control circuits of all types including motors and motor controls, SCADA equipment, communication equipment, and pump station equipment
Adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automatic hydraulic control valves
Install electrical branch circuit conduit and wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Report work order assignment results, including project blue-print and schematic discrepancies
Document all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo)
Partner effectively with contractors, vendors, or suppliers as required to complete district projects
Performs work on-site in the assigned office location
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years in the electrical /construction field with motor control experience
Five years’ experience with 240 and 480 volt electrical systems
Understanding of the National electrical Code (NEC) regulations
Must reside within Thirty (30) minutes of the district office
Must possess a valid California Driver License
Completion of a four (4) year electrical construction apprenticeship is desired
California Certified General Electrician license is desired
State Water Resources Control Board - Drinking Water: Water Treatment Certification Grade 2 is desired (must be attained within 12 months) & Water Distribution Certification Grade 2 is desired (must be attained within 12 months)
Salary Range: $53.06 - $61.11
