Senior Mechanical Engineer

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in New York, NY to support our transportation business group.  In this senior-level position, you will lead complex mechanical engineering projects, drive product development initiatives, and mentor junior engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions. This position offers a hybrid work schedule

• Spearhead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems and products
• Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams to achieve project goals and deadlines
• Conduct and oversee complex engineering analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Develop and implement best practices for mechanical design and product development processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve engineering efficiency
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Present technical findings and project updates to senior management and clients
• Contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio through innovations and patents
