Landis+Gyr is seeking a Summer Intern starting in May 2025 through the beginning of August 2025 working fulltime hours on-site Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA office. This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or relocation assistance so local candidates are preferred.    

 

 

Applicants must be current students working towards their Bachelors or Masters degree.

 

 


Project Overview/Job Description: 

Assist with documentation for commercial end to end process for generating budgetary quotes and RFPs.

Presentation of project will include but not limited to the presentation of the business process flow and an overview of the documentation along with metrics of the work completed. How many interviews, how many documents updated etc, categorization of the process health.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:


1.    Documentation Development:
     o    Assist in creating, updating, and organizing process documentation for generating budgetary quotes and RFPs.
     o    Ensure documentation adheres to company standards, including formatting, accuracy, and version control.


2.    Process Mapping:
     o    Edit visual process diagrams using Visio. Assist with documentation for a commercial end to end process for generating budgetary quotes and RFPs.


3.    Data Collection and Analysis:
     o    Identify areas for process improvement by analyzing current workflows and documentation gaps.


4.    Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
     o    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, finance, PMO, ISG and legal to gather input.
     o    Participate in meetings to understand workflow pain points and recommend improvements.


5.    Quality Assurance and Compliance:
     o    Review documentation for compliance with relevant industry standards and internal policies.
     o    Ensure all documentation is accessible, clear, and user-friendly for all stakeholders.

 

 


Objectives:


1.    Develop Comprehensive Documentation:
     o    Produce a detailed, user-friendly manual or guide for generating budgetary quotes and RFPs by the end of the internship.


2.    Enhance Process Clarity:
     o    Revise process maps and flowcharts that clearly outline the commercial end-to-end workflow, reducing ambiguity.


3.    Improve Efficiency:
     o    Propose and document at least two potential process improvements to streamline the quote and RFP generation process.


4.    Stakeholder Satisfaction:
     o    Ensure documentation meets the needs of at least 90% of surveyed stakeholders by the internship's conclusion.


5.    Professional Growth:
     o    Gain hands-on experience in documentation, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement in a commercial setting.
     o    Clear understanding how a commercial process operates end to end with exposure to all areas of the demand to order processes.

 

 


Education/Experience:
A student working towards their Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Operations, Project Management, Organizational Excellence, or Industrial Engineering.
