Job Description
Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled People Allocation Senior Analyst to join our team. As part of the HR Services (HRS) team, the Senior Analyst will be reporting directly into Manager, People Allocations within the Human Resources Services (HRS) team. As a Senior Analyst specializing in complex allocations and people financials, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate allocations and people costs is processed and reported in a timely and efficient manner. You will also provide support for various ad hoc finance requests to facilitate decision-making and financial analysis. This role requires a keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles.
By taking an active role in process design and improvement, you will contribute to streamlining operations, reducing errors, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the function. This proactive approach will facilitate better decision-making and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team and the organization as a whole.
Responsibilities

Allocations:
Conduct complex financial analysis to allocate people costs across different departments, projects, or business units.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather allocation criteria and ensure that they adhere to accounting principles and company policies.
Prepare documentation and presentations to explain allocation methodologies and results to stakeholders.
Financial Payroll Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and generation of payroll-related financial reports, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Analyze payroll trends and variances, providing insights to management for decision-making and cost control.
Ad hoc Finance Requests:
Respond promptly and effectively to ad hoc finance requests from various stakeholders, such as department heads, senior management, or auditors.
Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to address specific inquiries and provide comprehensive insights.
Prepare detailed financial reports, models, and presentations as required for special projects, financial planning, or performance evaluation.
Data Integrity and Compliance:
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain appropriate controls and checks to safeguard financial data integrity and confidentiality.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary data, explanations, and support.
Process Design and Improvement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze existing financial processes, identify pain points, and propose solutions for improvement.
Conduct process mapping exercises to document current workflows and identify areas of inefficiency or potential risk.
Assist in the design and implementation of new financial processes or enhancements to existing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Continuously monitor process performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in financial analysis, complex allocations, and payroll reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
Familiarity with accounting principles and payroll processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies.
