This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.</div>Job Summary We are searching for an IT Infrastructure Engineer, on-site for a 6 month contract, to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our end-user devices and core applications, primarily for infrastructure located in the Kairos Power Albuquerque, NM site. You will champion the support, implementation, and maintenance of core infrastructure needs impacting the accelerated delivery of engineering and manufacturing services. The successful candidate will have previous IT systems/network engineering experience in an engineering company.  Responsibilities <ul><li>Install and maintain cloud and on-premises networking and compute resources using IaC where possible </li><li>Standardize design and management of cloud and on-premises networking and compute resources </li><li>Coordinate and collaborate with outside partners to deliver secure, functional business solutions </li><li>Build scalable, reliable, automated solutions that efficiently improve network and application performance </li><li>Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid infrastructure across multiple offices and datacenters </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>3+ years recent work experience as Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role in a medium/enterprise scale organization; 7+ years overall IT experience </li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field; or an equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and work experience is preferred </li><li>Recent experience with datacenter operations, physical and logical networking, and systems engineering </li><li>Demonstrated on-the-job knowledge and experience with cloud services technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to include design, implementation, and integration </li><li>Strong understanding of server-client technologies </li><li>Practical experience using configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) as part of an Infrastructure as Code environment </li><li>High degree of proficiency in Windows, macOS, Linux, MDM, SSO, and at least one cloud IaaS platform </li><li>Prompt communication and excellent documentation skills </li><li>Resourceful / problem-solver mentality </li><li>Positive, enthusiastic, service-oriented attitude </li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace constant changes and challenges </li><li>Working knowledge of modern information security practices </li><li>Prior work experience in a highly-regulated industry, especially within the government community </li><li>Prior work experience for an engineering or industrial/manufacturing company </li><li>Prior work experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup </li><li>Ability to work with highly collaborative team</li><li>Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently</li><li>Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others</li><li>Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge</li><li>Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues</li></ul>Physical Demands<ul><li>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods</li><li>Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another</li><li>Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 50 pounds in all directions</li><li>Communicating with others to exchange information</li></ul>Environmental Conditions<ul><li>General office environment</li><li>Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned</li><li>High-concentration, demanding and fast-paced</li></ul>Safety and PPE<ul><li>Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs</li><li>Reporting issues with equipment or unsafe conditions</li></ul>Travel Some travel may be required up to 10%,Additional Requirements <ul><li>Occasionally requires overtime</li><li>Occasionally requires working weekends</li><li>Occasionally requires schedule flexibility</li><li>Occasionally requires extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines</li></ul> <ul><li>#LI-Onsite</li></ul> <div>About our BenefitsWe know that we have some of the most talented and dedicated employees, and we believe in rewarding them accordingly.
