Job Summary:


The Project Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials, components, and products to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards and specifications. This position plays a crucial role in preventing defective materials from entering production lines or customer sites by conducting thorough examinations and maintaining accurate documentation. The role will be supporting the company's quality assurance efforts during peak periods or specific project phases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify incoming materials, components, and products against established quality standards and specifications.
  • Utilize standard tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to perform precise inspections of received items.
  • Record inspection results in the company’s quality database, ensuring accuracy and detail in documentation.
  • Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities in incoming materials and input findings into the quality database.
  • Collaborate with the yard team, internal Quality team, and external suppliers to resolve any quality issues or concerns as needed.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of inspections, including detailed descriptions and photographic evidence of defects or non-conformities.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of receiving inspection procedures by providing feedback and suggestions for better efficiency and accuracy.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, quality protocols, and company policies during inspection activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in quality inspection or related fields are a plus.
  • Preferred experience as a Receiving Inspector or similar role in quality assurance or materials inspection.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, technical drawings, and inspection specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and software is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work temporary assignments and meet project deadlines.
