Contracts Specialist
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Contracts Specialist for our Professional Services team.
This legal professional will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, provide legal advice on transactions, and ensure regulatory compliance in commercial real estate construction and remediation services.

This position reports to a Managing Director. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and is based in Florham Park, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, customer agreements, service agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, teams, to understand business needs and provide timely legal advice on commercial transactions.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to assess risks associated with commercial activities and propose effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and industry standards, including environmental regulations, waste management guidelines, and commercial construction. Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is also a benefit as well as understanding public and public/private development requirements.
- Manage contract lifecycle processes, including contract creation, execution, and renewal, while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on contract-related matters, fostering awareness of legal obligations and best practices throughout the organization.
- Assist in resolving disputes and legal issues arising from commercial transactions, collaborating with external counsel and stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate potential implications to key stakeholders.
- Support the Advisory Services Group in other legal matters and initiatives as required.
Basic Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in at least one United States jurisdiction, preferably New Jersey and/or New York, and/or California.
- 2 to 3 years of experience practicing law.
- Solid understanding of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance specifically in commercial real estate construction and remediation services.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and legal integrity.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with commercial transactions in real estate construction and remediation services.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance.
- State and federal laws applicable to public and/or private commercial development.
