Job Description
Project:
Western Sydney Airport project involves the design and construction of a 3,700-metre-long runway, 3,000 runway landing lights, the service roads, power supply and commissioning and the integration of all the safety and navigation systems for the facilities.
Western Sydney International is on track to open to international, domestic and air cargo services in late 2026. The airport will be the catalyst for the transformation of the region, creating jobs, economic growth, and opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Training Targets & Capability Development
Assist with the implementation of the Project's Training Management Plan and associated competency requirements for both white-collar and blue-collar workforce.
Workforce Development
Liaise with various approved training organisations for the delivery of nationally accredited training, and collaborate with site teams to maximise state and federal funding opportunities.
Develop in-house training modules with SME's aimed at enhancing the growth and upskilling of our workforce.
Industry Participation
This role will be instrumental in the coordination and ongoing maintenance of various apprenticeship and traineeship programs, upskilling existing workforce and identifying future talent.
Supportive Advice
Provide timely advice to the site and project management teams with respect to project competency requirements in accordance with WHS legislation and industry bodies.
Improvement & Innovation
Identify opportunities, make recommendations and implement improvements to project processes, policies and work practices.
Required Skills and Competencies
Hold a TAE40116 Cert IV TAE - Cert IV Training & Assessment or TAESS00015 - Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set (or similar)
3-5 years' experience in a Training Advisory role, ideally within the construction industry
Hold a General Construction Induction (White Card) (or willing to obtain one)
Strong knowledge of competency management systems (3DSafety) and frameworks
