Job Description

  

Teledyne Marine Systems is seeking an experienced person for our production team, primarily.  This position will involve assembly, test, and troubleshooting of sub-assemblies and electromechanical products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. He/she must be a self-starter, work with limited supervision and be able to work in a team environment.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Strong electronic and mechanical aptitude - Troubleshooting of subassemblies down to board level - Ability to read assembly prints, procedures and schematics - Excellent written/verbal communication - Computer skills and knowledge of Office software - Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines - Assemble; test, and troubleshooting of subassemblies and electromechanical products - Work on assignments that are complex and require judgement in resolving problems and making recommendations - Willingness to work overtime during peak times - Comply with of all company safety policies - Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a "U.S. Person"Qualifications/Requirements:   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Education/Experience: - AA degree (electronics, electrical) preferred - 4-5 years technical experience with electromechanical assembly - Knowledgeable in the use of basic test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, Power supplies etc.) - Soldering experience - Ability to read assembly prints, procedures and schematics - Successfully pass company provided IPC-J-STD-001 certification - Successfully pass company provided IPC/WHMA-A-620-cable and harness assembly-certification - Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude - Ability to be flexible and willing to work in a fast pace team environment - Ability to react quickly to changing priorities Preferred: - Prior experience with oceanographic research equipment a definite plus - Exposure to continuous improvement principals The physical/mental demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Ability to lift 40-60 lbs - Prolonged periods of standing or sitting - Hard Hats Required in Designated areas - Work area on open production floor - Work with chemicals as required
