We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Expert to lead and optimize our payroll processes across multiple countries. In this role, you will manage the monthly payroll, support inbound and outbound expats, and provide advisory on process improvements and working methods. As part of a collaborative HR team, you will also act as a backup for other HR roles when needed, contributing to a supportive and flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Manage and process monthly payroll cycles for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and timely payments from A-Z.

·        Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, including data collection, validation, and reconciliation.

·        Ensure payroll compliance with local, tax, and social security regulations.

·        Handle inbound and outbound expat payroll, ensuring accurate tax, social security, and compliance management.

·        Collaborate with internal teams and external providers on global mobility and tax.

·        Act as a senior advisor on payroll processes, compliance strategies, and legislative updates.

·        Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

·        Stay current with relevant local and international labour law.

·        Act as a backup for other HR team roles during absences or peak workload periods.

·        Provide cross-functional HR support as needed, demonstrating flexibility and team spirit.

·        Contribute actively to HR projects, system implementations, and process development.

Required Skills & Experience:

·        Proven experience managing payroll across multiple countries.

·        Strong understanding of local payroll legislation, social legislation, tax laws, and compliance frameworks.

·        Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret diverse international legislations.

·        Expertise in expat payroll, including cross-border taxation and social security.

·        A critical eye for detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.

·        Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

·        Experience in an international corporate environment; skilled in leveraging global knowledge to address local challenges effectively, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment in a cross-border context.

·        Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.

·        Enthusiastic about learning new domains and contributing beyond core responsibilities.

·        A collaborative team player willing to step in where needed.

·        Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to improve existing processes / way of working.

·        Advanced Excel skills (proficiency in Power BI is a plus) for data visualization and reporting.

·        Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
