Mission
Our mission is to decouple protein production from agricultural land and create an era of food abundance for humanity. We use natural fermentation and a renewable-energy based feedstock to produce amino acid complete protein ingredients. While practically all fermentation methods up till now relied on sugars - which are derived from crops grown on agricultural land - we based our fermentation platform on an easily storable and shippable liquid feedstock which can be made from the air with just renewable energy. This allows us to bypass the inefficiency of photosynthesis and break free of its limiting constraints.
Team
We're a small, highly technical team with diverse background (Vegetarian Butcher, Noma, DSM) from all over the world. Our brewery, R&D, test kitchen and offices are all integrated under a single roof, optimised for high speed iteration.
Role
We are looking for someone who wants to bring the ambition of our mission and the beauty of our fermentation process to life. During this internship you will be working directly with our Head of Communication and CEO. In this role you have a high degree of freedom and autonomy.
Responsibilities
Shoot videos and photos of our fermentation process, our food products and company culture
Edit short form and long form videos
Help think about crafting stories and narratives
Translate our communication strategy into a video and photo style
Requirements
Passionately want to work on the frontiers of food
Independent operators with strong opinion on the future of video
Specifically enjoys watching and creating these types of videos
Team player skills with excellent English proficiency

About the Company

Farmless
Agriculture has taken over almost half of all habitable land on earth, pushing nature over the brink, and the world needs an affordable protein source that can be produced without the need for agricultural land. Farmless has found a way to achieve this: by brewing carbon-negative, functional proteins with a complete amino acid profile.
The Farmless process combines the ancient craft of fermentation – which has been used for millennia to brew beer and bake bread – with a modern feedstock (the scientific term for a starter liquid). Whereas most fermentation companies rely on sugar, Farmless uses a feedstock made from CO2, water, nitrogen and renewable energy – bypassing the need for agricultural land.
