Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques
  • Data driven proactive problem solving & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues.
  • Responsible for design intent assembly requirements of multi-variable novel processes
  • Responsible to design & execute Design of Experiments for recipe development
  • Execute targeted trails of new & advanced manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modelling and able to read 2D CAD drawings
  • Drive product improvements & specifications where required to make complex multi-variable processes to be more robust

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in mechanical, Electrical or automotive, MS preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in process development & design/release departments
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing plants OEM or Tier1
  • Experience in process development, statistics, & data driven problem solving
  • Able to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to next generation of products
  • Previously participated in prototype builds or launch events
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills are required using Atlassian products.
  • Travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ and Engineering HQ in Newark, CA on as needed basis

Preferred:

  • Green belt/Black belt – Six sigma
  • Developed or worked with wire-bonding, laser clean, flying probe, & potting processes
