The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate eager to help leading companies and governments transition to a low carbon, sustainable future by delivering custom consulting engagements that enable our clients to navigate this change.

The Consulting Analyst – BRM will be a lead consultant within the battery raw materials team, focusing on leading and delivering custom consulting and research projects that span the battery raw material and energy storage markets. Specifically, you will lead and deliver projects that include tailored market overviews and outlooks, feasibility assessments and analysis, industry cost modelling and analysis, supply-chain mapping and material sourcing strategies, and other bespoke engagements.

You will be joining a dynamic global team dedicated to understanding the rapidly evolving energy transition and battery raw materials markets. You will leverage Fastmarkets’ existing BRM data, insights and analyst team as an integral component of our consulting delivery.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment, have a can-do attitude and can juggle a wide variety of tasks and projects.

Principal accountabilities

  • Scoping, executing, and project managing a range of BRM and battery-related market consultancy projects.
  • Conducting new research and analysing and customising existing data (self-sufficiently and in collaboration with other subject-matter experts) that is robust, accurate, and well-researched.
  • Developing and delivering compelling and impactful high-quality content and deliverables with a strong client focus.
  • Ensuring consultancy projects are delivered on-time, and in-line with both client requirements, project scope and profit targets.
  • Supporting and working closely with the sales team in bidding and winning consultancy and subscription engagements.
  • Developing and building existing customer relationships to identify opportunities for repeat and new business
  • Participating in events and sales/marketing activities with a focus on existing and potential client business opportunities.
  • Utilising professional networks to surface opportunities and to source independent contractors to support delivery of engagements.
