The Role

The Corporate Event Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact corporate events, ensuring seamless delivery and memorable experiences. This role will be responsible for managing event logistics, vendor relationships, and stakeholder expectations, focusing on delivering best-in-class experiences that meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and extensive experience managing corporate events, conferences, or exhibitions. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

1. Event Planning & Strategy 

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of corporate events, including conferences, exhibitions, VIP receptions, and internal meetings. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align event objectives with broader business goals. 

  • Develop event concepts, agendas, and timelines that enhance the attendee experience and meet strategic priorities. 

2. Budget Management & Vendor Coordination 

  • Manage event budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards. 

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with venues, vendors, and suppliers (e.g., caterers, AV providers, production teams). 

  • Track expenditures and ensure all vendor contracts and invoices align with agreed terms. 

3. Logistics & Operations Management 

  • Oversee all operational aspects, including registration, catering, travel, transportation, signage, and on-site setup. 

  • Develop detailed event production schedules and run-of-show documents to coordinate activities effectively. 

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements for all events. 

4. On-site Event Execution 

  • Manage on-site event operations, including venue setup, sponsor activations, and attendee services. 

  • Lead event teams, including staff, volunteers, and external contractors, to deliver seamless event experiences. 

  • Proactively address any issues that arise during events, ensuring smooth operations. 

5. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, sponsors, and partners regarding event operations. 

  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure event branding and messaging are consistent across touchpoints. 

  • Work closely with sales and sponsorship teams to integrate sponsor activations into event programming. 

6. Post-Event Analysis & Continuous Improvement 

  • Conduct post-event evaluations, collecting feedback from attendees, sponsors, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Analyze event performance metrics (e.g., attendance, engagement, and ROI) to identify areas for improvement. 

  • Implement best practices and process improvements for future events.
