ERM, the worlds largest pure-play sustainability consultancy, are recruiting a talented and motivated professional with experience of transport assessments and transportation engineering - preferably with exposure to the renewables sector. This opportunity is well suited to a seasoned professional. Offer can be made at either Senior or Managing Consultant level, depending on experience – our Managing career level is in between Senior and Principal.

You will prepare transport reports, plans and drawings to support planning applications, namely Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and transport chapters of Environmental Statements. This role involves a broad range of tasks including feasibility studies, transport strategies, data analysis, and junction design.

About you

  • Civil/Transport Engineering Degree qualification
  • Understanding of Transport Planning Principles
  • A strong grasp in the field of development planning and transportation engineering
  • Ability to understand and interpret highway standards to prepare concept and preliminary designs for highways, and junctions
  • Demonstrable experience in EIA work
  • Experience in the preparation of technical reports including Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (English)
  • Good presentation and technical writing skills with a sound working competence in the use of MS Office products (including Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
