Lead: As Director Financial Accounting Germany, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS for the entities in Germany and Austria.
Analyze: You will monitor the financial performance of the entities, as well as address tax requirements and funding needs. This includes conducting analyses and evaluations and providing proactive, insightful reports.
Represent: Confidently represent accounting matters to internal stakeholders, corporate functions, and external partners such as auditors and tax inspectors.
Manage: Together with your six-member team and in collaboration with the Shared Service Center, you will ensure high quality and efficiency in operational accounting. You will identify opportunities for improvement and implement them consistently and pragmatically.
Drive: Advance the digitization and automation of accounting processes, provide guidance to international subsidiaries during global S/4 HANA rollouts, and manage projects in your area of responsibility.
Transform: Develop the Financial Accounting team into a Center of Excellence, placing a strong emphasis on the sustainable development of your employees.
Education & Experience: A degree, ideally with a focus on Accounting, or an equivalent qualification. Several years of experience in HGB and IFRS accounting, preferably in an audit environment or a comparable leadership position.
Expertise: Solid knowledge of national and international accounting standards as well as tax law.
Skills: A deep understanding of operational accounting processes, combined with an analytical, structured approach and a hands-on mentality. Strong proficiency in SAP FI/CO, ideally with SAP S/4 HANA experience.
Leadership: Proven ability to build future-ready accounting teams and utilize modern technologies efficiently.
Communication: A team player with excellent communication skills in German and English, fluent in both written and spoken forms.
