Job Description
Purpose:
The Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Operations Excellence will be responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing operational processes within the manufacturing facility. This role involves analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency.
- Identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on operational performance and throughput.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve inefficiencies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for recurring issues.
- Strategy Development:
- Create and execute strategies to optimize equipment utilization and reduce downtime.
- Set performance targets and benchmarks for production teams.
- Ensure alignment of operational excellence goals with overall business objectives.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to production teams on best practices in operations excellence.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Technology and Tools:
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in operations excellence methodologies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with production managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive operational improvements.
- Communicate performance results and improvement plans to senior management.
- Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to discuss operational performance and initiatives.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all operational excellence initiatives comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Promote a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and report on compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related field). A Master’s degree or relevant certification in Operations Management or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
