Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Contract Manager in Tunis, Tunisia to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Contract Manager  you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the execution of the contractual framework and providing periodic reports to the project management and the rest of the governance structure around the project on these issues, as well as monitor the logistics operation in Tunisia.

 

Main responsibilities 

  •  Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimization of the operating system
  • Successfully implement the operating system throughout the development, structuring and execution phase of the Project
  • Oversee the prequalification and initial selection of key contractors and subcontractors
  • Facilitate the tendering process, evaluate proposals, and conduct negotiations to finalize contracts for implementation in line with the procurement strategy
  • Manage contractual determinations and payments to contractors
  • Manage the on-site team of Quantity Surveyors and validate the progress measurements for payment certification
  • Receive and check invoices, prepare payment certificates in accordance with the contracts and prepare final account agreements
  • Highlight logistic risks identified during the structuring phase and timeously communicate to Line Manager
  • Facilitate visits to potential ports and obtain road risk assessment to site
  • Maintain the logistics execution plan per project

Qualifications and competencies 

  • Master degree or equivalent, in Contract Administration or Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or preferably a combination of the former.
  • Would be as advantage: Quantity Survey education and experience, Project Management Education, Relevant courses in the FIDIC Contractual Framework and/or other relevant internationally renowned contract standards.
  • 10+years management experience from procurement and contract management for projects in the Renewable and Oil&Gas
  • 10+ years from EPC organizations
  • Knowledge of requirements for EPC Contracts (FIDIC ++)
  • Fluent English both written and spoken in English and French. Other language skills are an advantage
