Key Responsibilities
Conduct ASHRAE Level I-III energy audits
Support energy efficiency and decarbonization projects aligned with NYC Local Law 97
Perform technical analysis and calculations for ECMs, including HVAC upgrades, renewables, and electrification
Develop proposals, reports, and presentations with cross-functional teams
Serve as SME on renewable energy, smart building solutions, and demand response systems
Perform Measurement & Verification (M&V) of energy savings and support ongoing commissioning
Assist with energy incentive applications and develop tailored strategies
Manage or support project tasks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Collaborate with IT/software teams to optimize energy management systems
You will contribute to the design and deployment of our proprietary energy management system ZEOS, as applicable
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Systems Engineering, or related field
Desired, but not Required Certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), or similar
Experience: Energy engineering, modeling, or related discipline
Skills: Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQuest, REopt), renewable energy systems, and energy efficiency principles
Bonus: Financial analysis or project management experience for energy projects
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
