The University Relations Sr. Specialist plays a vital role in developing and maintaining relationships with universities, colleges, and student organizations to promote our company as an employer of choice. This role will focus on attracting and recruiting diverse talent from various academic institutions and will work closely with the DEI&B team and hiring managers to ensure our recruiting practices are inclusive and equitable. We are looking for an university relations specialist to lead, support and scale our campus hiring efforts through substantial growth of our internship program.
Key responsibilities: University Relations, Sr. Specialist
University Relationships:
Cultivate and manage relationships with key contacts at target universities, colleges, and student organizations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for university career centers, clubs/organizations, and relevant faculty members.
Campus Recruitment:
Coordinate and participate in campus events, including career fairs, presentations, information sessions, and interviews.
Develop and execute strategic campus recruitment programs and initiatives, particularly those focused on underrepresented groups.
Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to understand their intern and entry-level talent needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
Inclusive Recruitment:
Partner with the DEI&B team to integrate inclusive recruiting practices into all campus engagement activities.
Proactively seek out and engage with diverse student populations and organizations.
Identify and address potential barriers to attracting and recruiting diverse talent.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other HR functions and business units to ensure alignment with university relations and DEI&B goals.
Develop and maintain strong communication channels with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Track and report on key metrics related to campus recruitment and DEI&B initiatives.
Passion for university relations, early talent, and delivering a superb candidate experience.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in university relations, campus recruiting, or a related role.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience working with diverse student populations and organizations.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to travel to universities and attend campus events as needed up to 70%
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing or related industry.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting technologies (handshake, workday, LinkedIn recruiter, greenhouse)

During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
