Boundless Impact Research & Analytics (Boundless) is looking for a Marketing & Social Media Intern to assist in developing Boundless’ online presence across LinkedIn and other social media platforms. The Marketing & Social Media Intern is expected to work with Boundless staff and leadership team to manage social channels, communications and marketing activities. 

They can work flexibly between 15-30 hours per week, in close collaboration with the leadership team (Chief of Staff and CEO). This is a paid internship at $15 per hour, running from January 2025 through May/June 2025 (depending on availability).

This marketing & social media internship will suit candidates who are interested in developing a company’s reach and awareness across social media channels (especially LinkedIn), who have strong communication and writing skills, who are passionate about the cleantech industry and/or climate actions, and who are looking for a high impact internship working directly with the leadership team of a growing startup. 

Who We Are

Boundless is an industry research and environmental impact analytics firm that provides objective and actionable information to move investment dollars more quickly toward clean technologies and climate solutions. Our science-based, data-driven approach is grounded in the proven methodology of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). The scores and metrics derived are trustworthy and reliable because they are unbiased and validated by external industry and/or scientific experts. Boundless has the capabilities to perform rapid (and screening) LCA, LCA consistent with ISO 14040, and Scope 1,2,3 emissions inventories.

We are rapidly expanding as we extend our environmental impact analytics to a growing customer base of investors, companies, and large institutions. We are also developing online data platforms for our company and investor subscribers, to provide access to our climate impact scores, reports and analytics, and industry benchmarks. This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team, focused on science-based environmental impact analysis and building out a best-in-class product.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and develop social media content (especially LinkedIn) to amplify Boundless’ reach and awareness. 

  • Edit social media graphics and videos using tools including Canva.

  • Track and analyze website performance and engagement on social content. Analyze paid media performance data to assess campaign effectiveness and ROI. 

  • Assist in building data dashboards or visual presentations to support team decision-making. 

  • Monitor ongoing social trends and conversations for opportunities to engage and captivate our audiences.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and audience research to inform social media strategies. 

  • Support management and upkeep of a company-wide editorial calendar, tracking internal and external engagement opportunities.

  • Assist in the organization and planning of online events (i.e. webinars), managing marketing and outreach, and design programs.

  • Assist in drafting letters, emails, reports, and proposals.

  • Conduct market research.

Qualifications

  • Experience with social media platforms and their analytics tools, especially LinkedIn.

  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.

  • Experience with basic graphic design and video editing

  • Basic understanding and strong interest in environmental impact / sustainability measurement.

  • A sense of urgency and resourcefulness, be solutions oriented and execution-focused

  • Autonomous and proactive.

  • Ability to complete tasks on tight deadlines and close attention to details and timelines.  

  • Demonstrated project management skills. 

  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing other related duties as required.

  • Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, easy to work with.
