About The Role
Easy Solar’s current operations are supported by sales managers and sales supervisors who manage a large team of agents, running local shops and stores, who in turn are in charge of daily interactions with Easy Solar’s customers. We are looking to hire a Sales Representative with extensive experience within the Corporate Community in Sierra Leone to develop a new sales channel by selling directly to companies, NGOs, organizations and governmental or para-governmental agencies.
General Duties and Responsibilities
The Sales Representative will be in charge of:
Growing Sales and Marketing
Identifying potential corporate customers and developing innovative ways to market company products on a regular basis
Submit proposals to clients, do active follow-up with potential customers, and try to work to close the sale.
Actively pursue business opportunities with large scale factories/industries proposing large scale solar installations, and grow the C&I side of the business.
Prepare bids for upcoming tenders from various agencies such as NGOs, Govt.
Expanding the Power Solutions in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea
Supporting Management Team
Report to Senior Management team about performance variables, cross-sales opportunities and competitors’ strategies
Collaborate and share best practices with Management and other Easy Solar employees (Support will also be provided by line manager in collaborating and sharing best practices with the Technical Sales Representative)
Team
Work with and build a team of Solar Engineers focused on in Sierra Leone
Work with the Business Development Lead to build a team of Sales Engineers in Sierra Leone and Liberia
Required Skills, Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree In Science or Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within Sierra Leone or similar geographies
Dynamic, target-driven and highly motivated self-starter that possesses a hands-on approach and social competencies for teamwork and management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is a must and an understanding of Krio and other local languages would be an added advantage
Sound knowledge of sales reporting, lead tracking and customer management
Computer literacy (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Creative approach in identifying new sales opportunities and customer engagement
Strong customer service orientation
Willingness to travel regularly in the assigned geographic area
