About the Job
About Axle
At Axle, we're enabling the decarbonized and autonomous fleets of the future. As the commercial transportation industry transitions to electric, connected, and autonomous vehicles, everyday back-end operations that make up the $100B ecosystem must be re-tooled from the ground up to accommodate this once-in-a-century transformation.
Axle is building the first tech platform designed to guide fleets and their ecosystem partners in this transition while reducing their total cost of ownership and streamlining back-end operations. We’re building a single source for fleet management from training to repair.
We’re a small team that comes from fleets, OEMs, and dealerships and we've all experienced the problems we’re solving. We’re trusted by some of the largest fleets, repair providers, industry leaders already, and are well-funded and revenue-generating.
Your Responsibilities
You’re the right person for this role if you’re excited about building not just a product, but helping shape the trajectory of an entire, nascent industry. On your first day, you’ll get ownership over end-to-end projects, and you’ll work closely with customers, designers, and product stakeholders to help turn big ideas into impactful products that solve real problems.
What Makes You a Great Fit
You’re a tinkerer, comfortable working across the entire product development stack.
You start with asking the right questions, but with a healthy dose of intuition —breaking down complex problems, and balancing discovery, ambiguity, and technical chops.
You get deep into product discovery, understand what our users actually need, and build solutions they’ll love using.
You prioritize projects and are comfortable with context switching, striking a balance between craftsmanship, speed, and what the business needs at the moment.
You’re excited by not having to follow someone else's arcane playbook. You like teaching yourself how to do things you’ve never done before, and friends and coworkers would call you relentless, and resourceful.
You continuously tweak, refine, and improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems to help us scale smarter and move faster.
Your Skillset
3+ years across React, Typescript, & C# building production APIs and web apps.
