We, at Sono Motors, are a motivated small team dedicated to the successful market launch of solar products for commercial vehicles. As part of our project team, you will be involved with project co-ordination and the test and development of solar components integrated into vehicles. You will also be responsible for our in-house material testing as well as supporting our technical project leads. Your tasks in our team will include:
Conduct mechanical and thermomechanical tests such as peel-, tensile- and shear adhesion strength tests on our in-house pulltester machine
Complete physical testing, interpret the results, create relevant documentation and present it to the wider company
Support the project engineering team by conducting component research, create design concept documentation and assisting in project planning, such as taking meeting minutes
Create simple CAD Designs of mechanical parts using CATIA V5
Support the creation of system wiring diagrams
Support in performing reliability tests, such as damp heat, thermal cycling or humidity freeze tests in our in-house climate chamber and sun simulator
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Renewable Energies or a related field
You are at least in the 4th semester
Engineering background and interest in mechanical engineering and material science, ideally polymers
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach, and an ability to work independently
Flexibility to take on a range of tasks that may be new or out of your direct responsibility
Basic CAD skills for CATIA V5 are of advantage
You are required to be predominantly on-site and ideally living in the Munich region
Fluent in English; German proficiency is advantageous
You have a proactive attitude and sustainability values are important to you
