Job Description
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with overall company goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient operations.
- Ensure that production processes are safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve product quality.
- Implement and manage a continuous improvement program to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.
- Lead and manage a large team of manufacturing professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that team members are equipped to perform at their best.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and product development, to ensure that new products are designed for efficient manufacturing and meet quality standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for the manufacturing department and ensure that expenses are within approved limits.
- Identify and manage risks that may impact manufacturing operations and develop contingency plans as necessary.
- Create production and progress reports for leadership team.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment and compliance with federal and state regulations through collaboration with environmental health and safety team.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in a high-volume production environment with a premium product
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing them in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of manufacturing professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with supply chain management and vendor relations
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to manufacturing, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
