About the Job

How You Drive Impact
As an Accounting Associate, you play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial data is organized and available for decision-making, compliance, and operational efficiency. In a fast-growing solar energy financing business, financial clarity is key to scaling impact across Southeast Asia.
Your contribution helps us build a financially robust and scalable business, accelerating the transition to clean energy across the region. Strategic Objectives
  1. Assist in overseeing the work of external bookkeepers and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely financial records that support monthly closing processes
  2. Support the day-to-day accounting functions of the assigned entities, including but not limited to:
  • Reviewing vouchers, contracts, and payment documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with internal policies
  • Organizing and maintaining all relevant documentation to facilitate proper booking by external tax advisors
  • Preparing electronic payment transactions for operational expenses
  • Coordinating invoicing and revenue collection activities in collaboration with local teams
  1. Ensure proper tax and commercial accounting treatment for daily operations, including payroll-related taxes, VAT, foreign contractor tax, corporate income tax, and other regulatory filings (e.g., statistical reports, DPI submissions)
  2. Support the preparation and review of year-end financial statements for SEA entities in collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors
  3. Perform regular reconciliations and transaction reviews within the accounting system (Accounts IQ)
  4. Respond to ad-hoc requests and assignments from line managers as needed
  5. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, including initiatives aimed at automation and digital transformation
Foundational Objectives
  1. Ensure Accuracy and Compliance in Financial Reporting
  2. Strengthen Operational Efficiency in Day-to-Day Accounting
  3. Support Effective Coordination with External Advisors and Auditors
  4. Drive Process Improvement and Digital Transformation
Key skills to drive impact
  1. Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP) to ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting
  2. Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze financial data, and ensure precision in processing transactions and preparing reports
  3. Working knowledge of local and regional tax regulations (e.g., VAT, payroll tax, foreign contractor tax, and corporate income tax) to ensure correct and timely tax filings and compliance
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, external advisors, and auditors. Ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines (e.g., month-end close, statutory filings), and maintain structured documentation.
  6. Proactive in identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical improvements to streamline operations and support automation initiatives
  7. High ethical standards and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
